Documentation

Honest Analytics counts your traffic inside WordPress and stores every row in your own database. These pages cover getting it installed, keeping it counting accurately on a cached site, and what it does and does not record.

Getting it running

  • Installation - requirements, installing, what activation does, and the settings worth checking on day one.
  • Bringing your history with you - importing from WP Statistics, Independent Analytics or Google Analytics 4, so you do not start from zero.
  • Scheduling - why WordPress cron is not enough on a cached site, and what to run instead.
  • Page caches - how a cached page still gets counted, and the setups that need a tweak.

What it records

  • Privacy - what is stored, what never is, how the daily identifier works, and text you can reuse in a privacy policy.
  • Retention - how data ages, every retention setting, and expected storage growth.

Removing it

  • Uninstalling - deactivating and deleting both keep your data by default.

These pages are generated from the plugin repository, so they describe the build you actually installed. Anything they do not answer goes to support.
